Make Time to Take the Stairs

Why take the stairs when there is a nice air conditioned elevator right next to you? Well, climbing stairs may be difficult, but it sure is good for your body. Also, last time I checked things that are hard for us are usually pretty good for us too (I mean think of the Marine motto: "Pain is merely weakness leaving the Body"). Climbing the stairs allows you to burn calories that the elevator robs you of, and every calorie burned is another calorie you don’t have to worry about.

Now besides just taking the stairs, (now don’t go crazy and take the stairs 30 floors up…be reasonable) consider leaving early so you can walk when destinations are nearby.

Look for chances to use your own power rather than gas power. Not only is it going to help you save another expensive trip to the gas station, but it will help the environment too. It is good for you all around.
